President's Welcome

Dear Members of NSRMTA:

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to another year of teaching and music making! I am delighted to be your new president for these next two years. If you are a qualified music teacher and not yet a member, we would invite you to join our growing membership. We are here to serve you. The NSRMTA provides leadership in all areas of music education across Nova Scotia. Please take the time to check out all the fine opportunities and programs we offer our members, their students and our community partners. In addition to all the things you see offered on this website, the NSRMTA is also a member of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers’ Associations.

I trust you all have found time this summer to relax and enjoy our beautiful province and if you found yourself visiting other parts of Canada, especially in celebration for Canada 150, that you felt a strong sense of gratitude and pride in what our country offers.

I will look forward to working with you all during my time “in office” and hope to meet most of you face-to-face at workshops and conferences over the next couple of years.

Yours Sincerely,

Paula Rockwell
